Thanks for the reply. Both the style.css and the layout .css read the exact same as per the footer section - not really the way I want it. For some reason, the browsers - firefox, chrome, IE - are not delivering the child themes footer style. I am trying to find out why - maybe it was reflective of a change I made somewhere else. Any more thoughts would be appreciated...thanks!

Brian,
I have had that problem with some width rules where the width of the original style.css is being read instead of the child stylesheet, even if other rules were properly over written.

It looks like you making your style changes in the layout stylesheet instead of the style.css. Was that part of your "fix"? I add footer changes to my child style.css not the layout stylesheet.

OK I fixed the image issue by typing in the full web address for the image but I had to put it in the 2c-l-fixed.css in the parent Thematic folder - which I do not want to do. Any tips - this has never happened to me where the child theme's style did not load...thanks! Brian

I built a site and for some reason the stylesheet.css is getting ignored when it comes to the footer. I have the same image displayed in the header and footer (with the style for both being the same). But, for some reason, when the page loads the image does not show in the footer...can anyone help?

I did "fix" it on one site - a test site - but when I transferred it to the live site, that "fix" did not work. The "fix" was editing the 2c-l-fixed.css in the Thematic folder - not the best way I know but it worked. Can anyone help? Here are the two sites...live site - http://efs3cpa.com ... test site - http://gears.dotblueprint.com.

Thanks...Brian
