I did just that and it works ok. I made the changes in the style.css file which I hope is the right way to do it. I do find it kinda strange though because the developer did include extra css-files in the layout subfolder just for this purpose. I love the WP Featured Content slider, but my users always complained about having to add images to a custom field (lazy), so, I set out to make my own slider that would do everything for them. My biggest issue was in pulling that first image out of posts for use on the slider, so i sorta copped out and used Justin Tadlock's "get_the_image" plugin. Worked swell. I used the coda slider as the actual slider. I used theme options to dictate what category and quantity of posts to display. But I'm having problems with my images.
