Genesis is really doing well as a commercial theme framework selling child themes. I think we'll see more of that. Especially since it is a theme and web template marketplace with themes created by many different authors. </p> <p>While Thematic and Hybrid seem to me to be the most active "free" frameworks, on the premium side there are: Woo themes' WooFramework and StudioPress' Genesis. I'm sure there are others.
