*whapping self on back of head* - I am such an idiot! Yes, that works perfectly. I didn't know you could put anything other than style.css and function.php (and images) in your child theme folder. How wonderful. Thank you so much for your help!!

You should be able to just use the new template in your Child Theme folder. Have you tried it?

Hi,

I'm using a plugin that requires me to create a custom page template which inserts a function call into the content area of the page to display a list of events. This is my first time using Thematic and child themes and I'm trying to be very very good and not touch any files in the main /thematic theme. But as far as I know, there's no way to put my new page_template.php in my child theme folder.

I'm wracking my brain for a way to handle this via a function and coming up blank. I considered WordPreciousss but that also seems to require hacking of the Thematic core files. Any suggestions, or should I just not worry about it?

Thanks so much!

Michelle
