.sf-menu li{
float: left;
}

is the thing that makes the menu horizontal. so if you added:

.sf-menu li{
float: none;
}

that should make it vertical

I've been trying to create a vertical menu in sidebar for a few days. The menu will be linking to a combination of pages and categories, with no "children", or subpages.

I can edit the functions.php to move the #access div to abovemainasides however, I am still stuck on the style.css potion on how to make this menu vertical.

Any suggestions for creating a simple vertical menu that I can style with image-based rollovers would be great.

THANKS!
