Use a word counter tool to define exactly how long I wanted the excerpt to be.<br /> 2. Installed the Advanced Excerpt plugin.<br /> 3. In the Advanced Excerpt settings, I added my exact excerpt length, and left the Ellipsis and 'Read-more' Text fields BLANK.<br /> 4. Check the "don't remove any markup" box (which I needed to do in order to keep the photo I have in the post)</p> <p>Done. This allows the Thematic Feature Site to use the custom excerpt I wanted. Since I show full length posts (and they're not very long) on the Blog page, this didn't cause any problems.</p> <p>So - this works - for me, in this case, on this site.
