that would be the #main div, so in your stylesheet you would have something like this:

#main { background: silver }

Hello,

I'm pretty new to wordpress, and I've started off using the thematic theme.

I'm looking to creating my wordpress website, with gutters on the side of color, so it would be somewhat like this blog, http://blog.post.edu/ where as you can see on the left and the right there is color and the inside just floats, if I was doing this in html and tables, the middle would be fixed, and the outside wouldn't be.

Is this possible on the theme that I'm using? You can view my wordpress website so far here, I'm still working on the images etc etc. http://eastwickmarketing.com/wordpress2/?page_id=2
