Thanks for the suggestion, but I couldn't see any effect in changing the margin in .wp-caption. Even with large values i.e. margin: 150px auto 210px auto;

I figured it out:

.aligncenter,
div.aligncenter,
img.aligncenter {
margin: 40px auto 21px auto;
}

I was mislead to think margin had no effect because 10px didn't do anything. Changed it to 40px and the space grows.

Thanks, #2 is solved.

as for #1, the above code gets me this:

http://i42.tinypic.com/2e22vl4.jpg

I need to have the padding outside that grey area (only top and bottom), so that text above and below are pushed away.

1. I said margin not padding and margin properties define the space around elements.

Please add the following code to your style.css and see what happens:

.entry-content img {margin: 0px 0px 21px 50px;}

The picture including the frame fail the basejump for 50px.

2. Adding
#respond {padding:21px 20px 45px;}
to your style.css should give you the correct padding as long as you have not Subscribe to Comments installed.

Cheers,

Thanks Chris,

1. I tried this but it adds space inside the grey frame. I need it to be outside.

3. Is there a way to add padding without installing this plugin?

Hey,

1. Use margin for .entry-content img

2. You need to install Subscribe to Comments to get this extra functionality. If installed it'll display the extras automatically.

3. Will be there if above mentioned plugin is installed.

Cheers,

Hi,

A few more questions for the Acamas theme.

1. Is there a way to add padding to the area outside of the image (including caption area) inserted in a post? I tried .wp-caption img, img.aligncenter etc but they add padding to the grey area ("frame" of image), and not outside it.

2. I noticed that the demo <http://themeshaper.com/acamas/> has extra options in the comment area of a post ("Notify me of followup comments via e-mail", and "Subscribe without commenting" with an email field). Acamas I installed on the latest WP doesn't show these options, and I couldn't find them in the admin page either.

3. Partly related to #2, there is no padding below "Post Comment" button in my installation, but there is in the demo. How can I add padding so that the bottom of the button doesn't touch the grey background?

Thanks.
