   Hi all,

   Just a few basic questions on how to change the design of my site, using a thematic child theme.

   1) I want to change: a) The blog title font, b) The tagline font, c) How used and unused links looks like, and maybe d) The body text font. Do I simply copy the default.css to my child theme directory and edit the file from there?

   2) I want to edit the sidebar. Basically I only want the Blogroll and the RSS Feeds sections, not the search field, the Categories, etc. I'm guessing I need to go to the Widgets section, but I can't seem to get rid of the different "Asides", only change their content.

   I don't know how to do "child" themes, I just jump in headfirst and tear up all the lovely code, remove all the @import links in the css files and create one monster css file for ease of editing, so can't really help with your first question.

   With the 2nd one, empty ALL the asides of all the widgets. Once you do this, you might find when you view your site that WP adds a couple to fill the space. Don't worry about that. If you only want blogroll and feeds, just drag them into the primary aside (in the backend widgets panel), enter the relevant headings, etc., click save and double check you've left all other asides blank and it should work perfectly.

   Thanks, that was helpful, but I'm not quite there yet. I followed your instuctions, emptied all the asides, put the stuff I wanted in the primary aside, but the secondary aside keeps showing up below.

   I could explain it all (which I am sure either I or someone could do it you still need help) but this post really makes it easy.
