I've been fiddling with Thematic for the past few weeks, but I am definitely a beginner. I've been trying to get the home page on the menu bar, and to also be treated as the current_page_item when I'm on the posts pages, but I can't seem to figure this out. My home page is just the latest posts, not a static page.

Hi Ian, Thanks for your reply! Yes, I've read about child themes and created a child-theme for my site that's a mash-up of a free wordpress theme I had, and thematic. I still haven't been able to figure out how to make the main index page act as the current_page_item. I took the testing site live, so now its: sustainablepantry.com Thanks for your help.
