Can anyone advise on adding this style menu?

    Hi all,

    I have a client who is currently using Joomla and may be moving to WP (with my desperate urging). If they decide to move, I will be using the Thematic Power Blog and would need to match the Joomla template they want to use. I am trying to figure out what's involved with matching the navigation menu on this template. The demo is here: http://demo.rockettheme.com/may09/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=60&Itemid=61

    I've got some css chops, but I know there are others here that exceed me in this area:)

    Is it possible to match this menu in Thematic?

    After a bit more searching, it seems this menu is using a Joomla component named MooMenu. That led me to MooTools, which led me to http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tags/mootools, which led me to this plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/mootools/

    This is a start, but I still don't know if this will make it possible to replicate the menu on that template.

    Well, looks like I found a backup plan...same theme, WordPress version: http://demo.rockettheme.com/wordpress/?theme=solarsentinel

    I wonder what it would take to match Power Blog to this???

    You can do it. Just takes some time and hard work :). Major things that theme seems to have are the slider and some custom designs that you could certainly replicate.

    That is one nice plugin. I followed the instructions per the developer but the submenus kept getting hidden behind the container. This is what I've been using for the CSS per the developer's instruction.

    #header {
    position:relative;
    z-index:20;
    }

    #container{
    position:relative;
    z-index:10;
    }

    Does that look correct?

    Got this worked out. It should be:

    #header{
    position:relative;
    z-index:20;
    }
    #main{
    position:relative;
    z-index:10;
    }
