Category Templates

    Is possible to have diferente category templates (as explained here http://codex.wordpress.org/Category_Templates) in the theme folder??. I mean not in the thematic folder. so I can upgrade tematic without care about them. I have tried with not success.

    You can create a child theme :)

    I do have a child theme. I put a category-slug.php file ("category-musica.php" in this case) on my child theme folder and nothing happens.

    Here is my list of obvious questions so forgive me if they do not apply.

    is the child theme the active theme?
    is the template comment correct in the style.css of the child theme?
    is there a chance you typo'd the slug?

    Thanks for your help. I have made it work, I don't know what I was doing wrong. May be a typo or something.
