Hello,
I'm new to blogging, and am looking to add a blog to a website I am developing. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with php. I have created a website using html for content and css for styling, and would like to include my header and navigation from my website to the top of my blog. How should I go about doing this? Does anyone know any good tutorials for php? Kind of having a hard time figuring out where to start...

Not even close to being done - I was just working on the styling of the inner pages. But this will give you an idea of what I need for the header/nav bar on the top of my blog - once I launch the site.

Also open to book suggestions! I'm figuring that the time I would spend on learning how to use php would make my life a lot easier - especially with the navigation. I'm a designer not a programmer - but I'm a fast learner...

I have a couple of books here, but all from German authors, very unlikely that these books were or will be translated.

include your header and navigation from your website in wordpress is really easy. I've done the same thing (include a blog into an existing website). you could take a look at the code of http://www.ilvecchiomandorlo.com (the last page is the blog). let me know if you need further help!
