CSS internet explorer PC issue & Link Logo to Homepage

I'm having two issues.

You can view my website here, http://lifemoneyconsult.com/ on a PC using Internet Explorer after the Home button there is some blank white space (about 1 inch) and then it goes back to the blue. This doesn't happen on firefox on a PC.

Second Issue is, I want to link the logo back to the homepage, but can't figure out how to do it in this theme.

I'm using thematic and thematic feature site themes. I'm not using the child theme.

I can help with the logo issue because I figured it out last night. Works like a charm.

Read this. It's easy as pie. I am also using Feature site.
