Is it possible to have different widget layouts for different page templates?
I've copied the page.php and made it into a new WP template called page2.php by adding the comment at the top.
I'm using WP 2.8.6 (language set to Swedish) and Thematic 0.9.5.1 and ThematicPowerBlog.

do you mean you want different widgets showing on different page, instead of just all on the same page by default...
if so i use widget logic plugin (search for it in you wordpress add-plugins.
as for styling a widget different for a certain page, a lot can be done with css.
if you look in thematics body class in your browser (like with firebug) you will see there are different classes for every page.

just install the excellent plugin Widget Context from Kaspars.
Add a widget to a widgetized area and define on which pages / posts it should display.

The Widget Context is great and can tackle this problem but if you have a bunch of pages and need a bunch of different say text widgets, a different one on each page, then the interface gets unwieldy. For instance, let's say I don't have titles for each textwidget - how do I tell which text widget goes with which page? I have to click through all of them and look at the url or notes.
Is there a better way to do this? At the very least assign widget titles that are only seen by the admin as soon as I look at say the Primary Aside in the admin? The best solution would allow for the textwidget's content to be editable from the Page editing screen. Think this isn't possible though. Any further ideas to tackle this would be welcome.
