As I have carried on building the site I have started to incorporate styling that is thankfully sorting the calendar out but I have now added NextGen Gallery plugin along with the smooth Gallery plugin. However, it doesn't seem to want to work.
Is this anything I have done please?
Thanks
Rich
Could you please explain a bit more, what you did in your post or what you're trying to do, which version of NextGen you're using?!
Im using NextGen on my blog and I have it installed on my test machine without any major problems.
Cheers,
Chris
Hi Chris
Thanks for the reply. When I insert the code [smooth=id:1;], I simply get the following output displayed.
function startGallery_1() {
var myGallery = new gallery($(”myGallery_1″), { timed: true, showCarousel: true, showInfopane: false, showArrows: true, embedLinks: true, slideInfoZoneOpacity: 0.80, delay: 9000, defaultTransition: “fade”, textShowCarousel: “Pictures” });
document.getElementById(”myGallery_1″).style.display = “block”;
myGallery.toggleCarousel(); }
window.addEvent(”domready”, startGallery_1);
This is using NextGen gallery with the NextGen Smooth plugin as well.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Rich
Hey Rich,
couldn't reproduce it .. could you please check and upgrade that you're running NextGEN v1.2.0 and NextGEN Smooth Gallery v1.2. After upgrading NextGen you need to go to the NextGEN Admin page that the database changes can be finished.
I found another problem .. please check the iFrames option on the NextGEN Smooth Gallery admin page. This is important 'cause the plugin interferes with jQuery and a couple of others. This setting will put the Gallery including the script into an iFrame. That was the only thing I ran into .. mmmh .. maybe this is a solution for the Featured Content Gallery problem too .. sorry .. just thinking to loud ;-)
Cheers,
Chris
Thanks Chris I'll try that. I am interested in the Featured Content Gallery - what is it please?
Rich
Hi Chris
I put the gallery into an iFrame and immediately all works well!
Thanks
Rich
.. I love it!
For information 'bout FCG take a look here: Featured Content Gallery | WordPress Plugin | by iePlexus
But be warned .. as mentioned it seems to have a similar problem like Smooth Gallery and it has no iFrame button.
Need to see if I can fix this one ;-)
Thanks I'll take a look but I might be back to see if you have a fix!
