featured post slider w/ image

    I just purchased the featured site child theme, and I'm wanting to integrate a post slider (coda like) into the frontpage with images.

    I want to use timthumb, or Justin Tadlock's get image so that it will automatically pull posts & images from a designated category.

    Has anyone done anything like this and can point me in the right direction?

    I'm using http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/dynamic-content-gallery-plugin/

    did you have any issues with DCG? I have it installed, I can see all the scripts loaded, the divs are there, but nothing shows up? i am using the jquery version. mootools gives me a black box with a loader...
