I'd like to get a list of posts on my frontpage like the way I get them on a category-page.
That means just an excerpts (thumbanil, title, excerpt) instead of a list with the complete post.
And if possible: 3 of category xy, 3 of category xyz and 3 of category zyx.
And again: thanks for help!

Helped myself.
"Query Posts" > http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/query-posts/ is some kind of solution.
Especially together with "Get the Image" > http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/get-the-image
Combined it's easy to show the thumbnails and excerpts on the front-page.
The last thing I have to do is to hide the "last" post wordpress shows by default.
Under settings > reading > "Blog pages show at most:" I can't set it to zero.
Minimum is 1
Any trick to set it to 0?
