I was wondering how hard it would be to conditionally add a CSS class to a comment for styling if the comment author matches the post author.

I know there are plug-ins that are supposed to do this, but it seems like it should be fairly easy to accomplish either in the child theme functions, or in the Thematic core.

Hey Jason,

this can be done by using the following selector in your child theme's style.css:
```
#comments-list li.bypostauthor {}
```

Thanks for your help. After you posted your answer, I did some more digging and found my specific problem.

I imported my posts into WordPress from Movable Type, and in that process, the user-to-comment association got wiped out. Because of that, my comments never received the "bypostauthor" selector.

After updating the comments table with a SQL query, things look perfect.
