I would like to add the text: E-Mail address is never shown. Comments are Gravatar enabled (for those readers who might not know.) with a link to the Gravatar web-site at the bottom of my comments form between the comment box and the submit button. Could someone tell me how to go about that please. I'm pretty new to HTML and CSS, (with zero knowledge of PHP.) so thanks in advance for any help.

Copy comments.php into your Child Theme and make the edits there or edit the comments.php in Thematic (not recommended).
