Hi. I am a very new blogger (just started my site a week ago) with very little knowledge of html or css so this is probably a very dumb/basic question, but I am hoping someone can save me some time and tell me how and where to install the Site Meter code.
Site Meter instructions say to place the code (below) in the Sidebar Template of the theme files. Here's the code:

<!-- Copyright (c)2009 Site Meter -->When I tried putting this at the bottom of the sidebar file, nothing happened. I would rather not go arbitrarily mucking through the code in these files before I can learn more about how they work. In the meantime, can anyone just tell me what I am doing wrong? Where should I put this code to get it working?
