is there a way to make a menu external link open in a new window?

my client http://reliquarysanfrancisco.com/test/home wants the "blog" link to open to her tumblr page, the way it is now makes for nav confusion.

In the "Appearance > Menu" section of WP, there are "Screen Options" for the "Link Target", turn that on so it is visible and you can select it to open in a new window. That would be the easiest way to go.

It is also possible with jQuery, but you will still need to add a special class to the menu item. Do the above, but if you really wanted to use jQuery, http://css-tricks.com/snippets/jquery/open-external-links-in-new-window/
