First, thank you for providing this development child theme -- it's nice to have this type of approach available as a solid base to work on for less bloggy sites.
My question is whether there are defined hooks for inserting stuff into the new leader area? I'm thinking specifically about adding breadcrumb nav (plugin) and subtitle (custom field?) content. I know I can use belowheader for something as an alternative, but it would be nice to keep things contained in the same block. Maybe something like aboveleadertitle and belowleadertitle?
