  1. I'm working on a development site located here: http://174.122.7.124/~sms/

The width of the menu is set at 940 px wide and I'd like each of the five buttons to be 188 px wide, making each button equal size. Right now, they are set at 160 px each. If I increase the width of the buttons to anything higher than 161 px wide, the entire menu bar shifts down and misaligns with the menu bar background.

The downward shift is the only problem I see in Firefox, Safari and Chrome on the Mac.

The menu bar looks even worse when tested in IE7/8, Firefox and Chrome for Windows. In all these Windows browsers, the height of the menu bar is wrong and the shift is also still there.

I'm starting to think I shouldn't have used Thematic with this amount of customization in this design. I would be very grateful for any help that anyone can offer.

  2. I finally figured this out, with some crazy CSS and conditional CSS.

    This post helped:

    Hi marvinforte,

Could you tell me what did you do to solve it? I have exactly the same problem...

    Thanks!

  4. I remember having a similar problem a while ago, from what I recall windows browsers have a specific class applied to them that might conflict with changes you made.

    Hope this helps
