Removal of unused Javascript

    When using the Acamas theme, why is jquery.js called, since I can not see any usage of jquery in the theme ?

    Where is the best place to cancel this ?

    It's being called in the Thematic theme. It'll be removed in the next version of Thematic.

    For now, you can comment out line 4 of thematic/functions.php. Or just delete lines 3 and 4 altogether.

    Thanks for the quick response. I purchased the Acamas theme because I liked the simplicity. I am trying to remove all that is not required to speed up page loading time. Since I am already using the jquery-lightbox-balupton-edition plugin there is no need to call the jquery again.

    Try out WP Super Cache if you're looking to speed up page loading time.
