    Hello as a novice to Wordpress and theme's I'm am trying to find my way around customization.
    Q - where and which css file to remove the grey boder around the header-image.jpg?

    Hey,

    remove the background from #branding and #menu, .menu.

    And use FireFox with the add-on FireBug .. will display all needed information :-)
