search widget missing

    I went to drag the search widget onto an sidebar but it was gone! Can anyone tell me how to get it back? Weird, huh?

    Try to drag it at the very top, maybe in the Primary Aside, so you can double check if it does appear or not.

    Have you checked that it isn't already in another widget area?

    If you click the down arrow on each widget area, if will show you if there are any widgets inside. When they are minimized, you can't tell.

    Yep, I checked. I even had someone else check too, just in case I was going insane :)

    I need to reinstall something to bring it back?

    Hi Leslie,

    I've had the same thing happen to me with Thematic 0.9.6.2 :/ Is that the theme version you are using? There is definitely a bug in there. As far as I know it has been remedied in the latest svn version. I'm not sure exactly what the best course of action for you is.
    You could download the latest dev release and try that out: http://developing.thematic4you.com/thematic-development-release/

    If that causes more problems than good you can always reinstall the 0.9.6.2
