Show 4 most recent posts in reverse order?

    Howdy,
    I'm trying to display the 4 most recent posts from a specific category in reverse order - meaning I'd like the oldest (by post date) of the 4 most recent posts to display first.
    I have a category called "Events" and we post upcoming goings-on in it.
    The problem is that as we create posts for future events they appear before the ones that are nearer in time since they're the most recent posts. If I reverse the sort order by adding the parameter "order=asc" then it shows the very first posts in the category - which are events that have long since passed.
    So, how can I show the 4 most recent posts but show them in the reverse order? Any ideas?

    So does anyone know of a way to reverse the order of the posts but still show the most recent four? Pretty please? With sugar on it?
