Is it possible to tag individual photos that are inserted into posts, instead of tagging the entire post?
And...
Then is there a search box, plugin, etc. that will take those tags into account, as well as post titles, and written post content?
The original search box doesn't even seen to pick up on the tags for entire posts.
I really would like these two features as I will using them on a photo blog.

To clarify, by "tag" I essentially mean embedding single photographs with keywords, such as you can do in Lightroom. Then have a search box that can find images through the keywords. For example, searching for "boats" would bring up all the posts and/or individual images that were tagged with the word "boat".
After some research I see that the NextGEN gallery plugin uses keywords from Lightroom, and also has a NextGEN search engine that does what I want. Unfortunately I do not want to display my images in a separate gallery style as NextGEN does. I want to simply insert my photographs directly into the post content.
