   In Appearance > Menus > Theme Locations, I'm selecting "which menu appears in each location" (I've got two menus running on TwentyTen) and everything seems to be running fine. However, every once in a while the setting will clearr -- I'll check the Admin panel and my selections have disappeared. It's ruining my menu appearance, making each menu appear twice, stacked on top of each other.

   Any idea on what causes this issue? Searches reveal that others are having this issue too but I haven't yet found any solutions.

   For reference, my URL is http://www.cleverpapers.com -- you'll see "nav_secondary" at the top of the page and "nav_primary" just under the masthead image.

   Are you using Thematic or TwentyTen?

   @em hr: Thanks for your attention to this issue. Mine's a child theme of TwentyTen. Got any ideas?

   Beautiful site. Unfortunately for my helping you, I've never run into this issue before with Thematic. You may find a better chance of a similar issue in the wordpress.org/forums

   What function are you using to register your menu?

   Yeah, I've had the same question posted concurrently in the WP Forum and got lucky with some response activity. Folks seem to think it's a plugin issue. Troubleshooting is tough because the issue is unpredictable: it's only happened once since the site's been launched, and I'll never know if it's gonna happen again.

   The function:
   register_nav_menu('secondary', 'Secondary Navigation');

   Anyway, I'm sticking with Thematic for now on. I'm a noob and always have lots of questions; is Themeshaper a good, active forum resource for answers?

   Maybe it was a fluke event related to some aspect of early development ie theme switching,directory movement(renaming), Theme or plugin updatess. It's hard to say.

   If the site content is relatively static you could use a caching plugin and force the cached view while you observe the non-cached version site for changes.

   Look around the forums and documentation here. That should speak for itself on the community around the Thematic theme family.

   My 2cents... With a community forum like this one you get out of what you invest in it. The more time you look around the more tips and answers you may find you never knew you needed. And the more you help others, the more familiar you'll become with the framework and WordPress in the process.

   Should you start using it as your framework of choice, this is definitely the place to come with questions and answers.
