I'm currently developing a childtheme. I see there are two search widgets, a simple search (I call this the simple search as it has no options) and a search form (this has the option of specifying a title). The simple search works fine when added to the sidebar, but the search form doesn't show.
Whay are there two search widgets and why doesn't one of them work? I'm mainly asking because I know my clients will find it confusing.
