widgets disappear when changing mailpress theme

hi there
i have realized a first template with thematic and i really like it. but now i have a problem in combination with the newsletter plug in "mailpress" http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/mailpress/.

this plugin uses the same template engine as standard wordpress theme management. when i activate thematic standard or my thematic child theme with some widgets and choose a new mailpress-theme, all my thematic widgets are deleted.

this problem appears only if i use the thematic theme. i have tested with other themes and then it works, i don't loose my widgets.

does anyone use the mailpress plugin with thematic? and has any experience with this problem?

I just had this exact same problem, hours into using MailPress.

I have decided to stay with the same MailPress theme and tweak it until this is resolved.

FYI: I decided not to use MailPress at all. WP-Mailing-List (Newsletters) is working great.
