Wordpress gallery in a thumbnail slider

Hi,

Some of my clients have a heavy Photo Gallery section, where they keep inserting new galleries. I have implemented it with WP native gallery function, tweaked by Justin Tadlock's Cleaner Gallery plugin. Add WP-prettyPhoto and it works fine. Except, each gallery has 15-20 photos and by the time the page has 8-10 galleries it gets really long even to scroll thru the thumbnails.

I am looking for a way to somewhow load the Gallery in a thumbnail scroller (with next previous links to left n right) that would allow me to restrict each Gallery in one row - a huge saving of space.

Till now, I have explored on the wordpress plugins and hacks but none of them work that way. And customizing seems quite difficult seeing they are more of a Slideshow plugins.

this isn't a thematic question at all, but it sounds like you are going to need to roll your own JS code using one of the many jquery plugins out there, like flexslider or jcarousel maybe?
