I hope this hasn't been covered, I looked around and didn't find anything.
I've got a fresh install of 2.7, Thematic and a child theme running on my localhost. Everything is working great in the back end of wordpress, but the WP e-Commerce pages aren't showing up in the Thematic Theme. It works fine if I switch the theme. Has anyone else run into this problem? Any suggestions would be great.

I checked with the WP e-Commerce guys and they hadn't noticed this. And they're running Thematic on their own site.

I took a look at there code, and it looks like they havn't upgraded in awhile. VERSION: 0.6.4
Hmmm... when i edit the Product Page manually in the Wordpress-Editor like this ...

it seems to work.
Ok, i did the final investigation....
if i removed the following in the Standard Thematic header.php, the Plugin works ...

I've sent this off to the WP-eCommerce folks to see if they have any idea why this would be causing an issue.

with
the_content_rss()
it works ...
Did a test with nothing removed and e-commerce v3.6.10 RC1 .. and I can see the products page including products .. or do I miss something?
@anthrax Could you please try a SVN copy?!
I have tried 3.6.10RC2 and it didn't work. Tomorrow i try with the RC1 ...
@Chris: Did you modified the Products-Page manually?
Not at all .. but I'm running one of the latest SVN copies of Thematic on my test machine.

If you're using a mac with Leopard you can just type the following into Terminal:
svn checkout http://thematic.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ thematic-read-only

with the lates SVN the Plugin works, cause the lines that i delete in the header.php of the official Thematic download are no longer in the header.php of the new SVN.

I exchanged these functions against protected ones. Too many plugins are connecting to the_content, the_excerpt and the excerpt_rss causing weird problems if you're using these functions for generating the meta-tag "description".

Ok .. here's the code generated with 0.8.1:

.. and here's the one generated with Revision >= 287:

Unfortunately the code I posted before doesn't display all the TABs, empty lines and so on.
Using a Revision >= 287 ensures that the Product Page will be displayed properly.
Starting with Revision 287 I rebuilt the_excerpt(), the_excerpt_rss() and wp_trim_excerpt() to have an own set of protected functions to create a proper output for the meta tag description.
Hey I've been working with instinct on this issue today, can definitely say replacing the the_experpt_rss()
with
the_content_rss()
works on the latest version of wp-e-commerce and wordpress 2.7.1,,,unfortunately it does not produce a good meta description -->[productpage], will try the subversion copy and confirm that it fixes the bug. Thank you for the fix!

It works now!!
But I read that it now makes for bad meta data. How can I use this template with this removed, make e-commerce work and still get good meta data?

Install one of these SEO packs: All-In-One-Seo, Platinum-Seo-Pack or WP-SEO. And configure the page to get some nice meta data.
