Instinct & The Thematic Theme Framework

Instinct, makers of the popular WordPress e-Commerce Plugin, have converted their former K2 powered site into a Child Theme for the Thematic Theme Framework (with a little help from me). Check it out and see what you can do with WordPress Child Themes and Thematic.

    unbelieveable !!

I am still exploring thematic !!! do you have some writeup on SEO front of this theme framework ?

I don’t have a write-up but it’s at least one the most SEO-optimized GPL themes (I’ve discovered that there really is no “best” SEO theme).

    Thanks Ian.

We are really really happy with the end result. I can’t believe how much quicker our site loads now!!!

In terms of SEO optimization Thematic works fine with all the additional SEO measures we put in place, that is to say:
    1/ Permalinks
2/ All in One SEO Plugin
    3/ XML Sitemap Generator

    What more could you want?

    Don’t get me started. ;)

Thematic is great! Ian converted my theme from Sandbox to Thematic for my website.

@Jason: Did it require a lot of work to have the theme converted?

Jason’s site was actually pretty easy to convert—he was already using a Child Theme I’d designed for The Sandbox!

I’ve done one more site for Jason, which started out as Thematic and quickly turned into something else (—but once WordPress 2.7 rolls out a site like that could be easily done as a Child Theme of Thematic).
