ThemeShaper Re-Themed

It’s been a while but we finally changed the theme on ThemeShaper! No need to scroll to the footer it’s using Further designed by the illustrious Takashi Irie. We’ve made a few modifications using a simple child theme but it’s pretty close to the stock theme. For now. I’m sure there will be many tweaks over the next few weeks and months.

For the historically minded this is the first theme on ThemeShaper.com not designed or built by me — we should have done that sooner! That said, I hope to continue the tradition of unusual design choices here with more experimentation and the use of cutting-edge magazine themes like Further (check out the infinite scrolling on the home page).

Let us know what you think!

  1. Woow… really a great design…
I really appreciate Takashi’s work… My blog runs with his Ryu theme.

  2. I don’t understand why anyone would left-align a layout. It’s entirely nonsensical to me.

The black sidebar seems a little heavy (like it either needs to be smaller or a lighter color), but I like that the articles now have shorter, easier to read lines. It makes it more magazine-like.

      1. Hi Kathryn. Sorry, I think I can’t express myself well enough :/

I’m actually talking about the previous ThemeShaper theme, before the Twenty Fourteen (ex-Further). I’m not talking about the theme from the tutorial, but the theme activated on ThemeShaper when this screenshot was taken 😉

  3. Hello,

I’ù using this twentyfourteen theme on my site (http://luc.saint-elie.com- and picture are much smaller than yours and I fail to make the “top of the home page three featured stories work”..
    Any documentation somewhere ?

    Thanks in advance
